This is an early draft. I haven't proofread; there are plenty of typos and probably some more significant errors as well.
Most pages on this site are currently auto-translated. The autotranslations are intended as a starting point for my manual translations. At best, they are awkward stringing-togethers of words and phrases in the corpus database that can benefit from cleaning up. At worst, they are picking the wrong homograph. Auto-translations are indicated by italics.
I am not a rabbi or an expert. These are my translations, and in some cases I am certainly misunderstanding things.
The Talmud is a document of its time. While the Talmud is a foundational document of Judaism, it must be read in its historical context. There are passages that are xenophobic, sexist, and irreconcilable with modern science. Not everything in these pages represents contemporary Judaism.

This translation is protected by copyright. I'm putting a lot of effort into this project. Please respect that by only copying with my permission.
I intend to provide free licenses for most uses. I plan to use a Creative Commons CC-NC-BY-SA license, which will allow you to re-use my translations as long as you don't charge money for them (NC), as long as you give me credit (BY), and as long as you make your derived work available under the same terms (SA). But I'm not ready to do that yet because this is still a very rough work-in-progress.
In the meantime, if you want to re-use this, please contact me. I am willing to discuss re-use on an ad hoc basis. Perhaps the one page you want to use is actually ready for re-use. Ask. I'll probably work out a way to say "yes."

I need to clean up this section. But for now, I'll note that I've made use of the Hebrew/Aramaic text of the Bavli at Mechon Mamre; Jastrow's dictionary; "The Practical Talmud Dictionary" by Yitzchak Frank. I've also used the big three translations of the Talmud --- Soncino (English), Artscroll (English), and Steinsaltz (Hebrew) --- and the Kehati (English) edition of the Mishna, to help me understand passages before translating them.

This is obvious! for it is the case that ??? except I would say if the master of without ??? he bought For it was taught: ??? According to Rabbinic law, of Rav ??? one ??? and one ??? in the marketplace and one ??? without ??? and one ??? and one ??? and one ??? is a law established by the Rabbis and one ??? is a law established by the Rabbis upon it ??? and not will come my heart judgement ??? and on ??? yes. ??? Rav except ??? and without ??? and there are that they said even ??? also It is because of this: ??? The Rabbis taught How so? ??? he gave to it silver or the value of silver and with a contract How so? with a contract How so? ??? the writing of to it on ??? or on ??? despite the fact in which is not the value of ??? Behold! ??? for me Abayye said: This is what he means: a legal document ??? How so? the writing of to it I so-and-so son of so-and-so ??? by the ??? but only that it should be her ketubah written contract on ??? and if ??? to it ??? established to it rabbis ??? so that that lightweight should not be in His eyes ??? Abaye brought this very question ??? he gave to it writ and he said Behold! ??? the acceptance of and if it is permitted. by any person. What then? writ ??? is a law established by the Rabbis he writ ??? a man from those ??? writ that is not from those ??? a man Watch out for leading vav And ??? not ??? or, perhaps, will come ??? there is a fear of them. ??? in reality yes. writ because of that do not in his hand ??? he is required pointed out a contradiction. son of Chama ??? What then? immediately ??? of him. ??? is comparable or, perhaps, immediately that is not a slave of it ??? No. The question remains suspended and cannot be answered. he is required Rav ??? the writing of writ ??? and not ??? and not ??? What then? ??? pointed out a contradiction. and it was for him ??? a woman ??? a woman he did not do anything at all. or, perhaps, This ??? he arises and that one ??? he arises ??? for him ??? for he said: Raba he gave writ ??? to Raba This is obvious to him. for Rav, ??? for him What then does it mean when it says ??? One who acts ??? Rav Yehudah said Rav said these are the words of R' ??? for he said: yes. ??? but: the sages say there are after chalitza anything and who seeks ??? to it like Rabbi ??? Hey, isn't it the case that The tanna teaches: But the beginning of the teaching, he gave writ One who acts ??? it requires writ and chalitza and if Rabbi Akiva immediately ??? to it writ who from those of it ??? For it was taught: Rabbi Akiva says: from where do we learn ??? writ ??? upon it ??? as it is said (Deut. 24) it is not possible ??? who ??? after ??? Rav Ashi said writ ??? According to Rabbinic law, and he read ??? in reality Another teaching is like this: he said Rabbi yes. the things ??? except according to the words of R' ??? that he was makes Watch out for leading vav or a chalutzah ??? but: Watch out for leading vav But the sages say: there are after chalitza anything and as for me, says when does the previous statement apply? at a time i.e., in a case ??? but: ??? yes. after chalitza anything Another teaching ??? and he returned ??? Rabbi says if ??? it requires from him writ ??? yes. it requires from him writ But the sages say: between ??? between ??? it requires from him writ Rav Yosef said What is the reason מאי טעמא of Rabbi ??? are his there are. that is not ??? He said to him Abaye who he is equivalent. there i.e., in another mishna No. ??? Here in this case, ??? this one No. is comparable except ??? this ??? of ??? after he ??? except Abayye said: Here in this case, with what are we dealing? For example, he said: to it ??? for me ??? Rabbi reasoned ??? pointed out a contradiction. ??? chalitza ??? And the rabbbis reason that This ??? he arises and that one ??? he arises from the beginning Watch out for leading vav !! And even he said to it ??? for me ??? who Watch out for leading vav And ??? not now also from those Rava said: If it was for he said: to it ??? the whole world does not disagree ??? and here in this other case, with what are we dealing? For example, he said: to it ??? for me ??? Rabbi reasoned
