Please do not forward this link around yet! This is still in development and will be "released", God willing, on August 1, in time for the thirteenth cycle of Daf Yomi.

This is an early draft. I haven't proofread; there are plenty of typos and probably some more significant errors as well.
Most pages on this site are currently auto-translated. The autotranslations are intended as a starting point for my manual translations. At best, they are awkward stringing-togethers of words and phrases in the corpus database that can benefit from cleaning up. At worst, they are picking the wrong homograph. Auto-translations are indicated by italics.
I am not a rabbi or an expert. These are my translations, and in some cases I am certainly misunderstanding things.
The Talmud is a document of its time. While the Talmud is a foundational document of Judaism, it must be read in its historical context. There are passages that are xenophobic, sexist, and irreconcilable with modern science. Not everything in these pages represents contemporary Judaism.
Copyright
This translation is protected by copyright. I'm putting a lot of effort into this project. Please respect that by only copying with my permission.
I intend to provide free licenses for most uses. I plan to use a Creative Commons CC-NC-BY-SA license, which will allow you to re-use my translations as long as you don't charge money for them (NC), as long as you give me credit (BY), and as long as you make your derived work available under the same terms (SA). But I'm not ready to do that yet because this is still a very rough work-in-progress.
In the meantime, if you want to re-use this, please contact me. I am willing to discuss re-use on an ad hoc basis. Perhaps the one page you want to use is actually ready for re-use. Ask. I'll probably work out a way to say "yes."

I need to clean up this section. But for now, I'll note that I've made use of the Hebrew/Aramaic text of the Bavli at Mechon Mamre; Jastrow's dictionary; "The Practical Talmud Dictionary" by Yitzchak Frank. I've also used the big three translations of the Talmud --- Soncino (English), Artscroll (English), and Steinsaltz (Hebrew) --- and the Kehati (English) edition of the Mishna, to help me understand passages before translating them.

דף יג,א גמרא
??? And Rabbi She as it is taught: Rabbi says on all transgressions ??? between One who acts a response between No. One who acts a response Yom Kippur atones except ??? the yoke of ??? in the Torah ??? covenant in the case of the flesh. ??? One who acts a response Yom Kippur atones And if not, yes. Yom Kippur atones What is the reason? of Rabbi as it is taught: (Num. 15) For a thing Hashem in this this ??? the yoke of ??? in the Torah and ??? this ??? covenant in the case of the flesh. (Num. 15) ??? before Yom Kippur. ??? after Yom Kippur. It is possible even One who acts a response Scripture states: (Num. 15) answer of it No. Watch out for leading vav And I said except at a time i.e., in a case ??? of it And the rabbbis ??? in the world" ??? In reality lit: In the world that comes answer of it ??? One who acts a response did he die death ??? and who seeks ??? to it like Rabbi Hey, isn't it the case that ??? it is Rabbi Yehudah But the beginning of the teaching, also it is R' Yehudah it is taught at the end one Israel and one priests and one a priest who has been anointed and one it has This reason out the logic. Rabbi Yehudah from this general principle it would follow that at the beginning of the teaching R' Yehudah Rav Yosef said Rabbi She derive it like R' Yehudah He said to him Abaye ??? he comes to say i.e., what he really means is: Master, Rabbi derive it like R' Yehudah but: Rabbi Yehudah Do you not derive from this, like Rabbi or, perhaps, from that of Rabbi derive it like Rabbi Yehudah Even Rabbi Yehudah derive it also like Rabbi ??? The tanna teaches: to say ??? derive it like his teacher He said to him yes. ??? Rabbi derive it like Rabbi Yehudah but: R' Yehudah Do you not derive from this, like Rabbi as it is taught: It is possible ??? Yom Kippur. atones on ??? and on those that are not ??? It would be a logical inference Because and A sin-offering and a guilt-offering ??? and Yom Kippur atones Just as A sin-offering and a guilt-offering yes. ??? except on ??? Even Yom Kippur. yes. atones except on ??? Just as ??? and a guilt-offering that do not ??? on ??? shall you say ??? on ??? Because atones on ??? on ??? and on those that are not ??? Therefore, scripture states: (Lev. 23) ??? a portion ??? with whom does it agree? R' Yehudah and he said ??? yes. No. ??? No. and pointed out a contradiction. ??? as it is taught: It is possible No. ??? Yom Kippur. atones unless it is ??? in it and they read the written Torah and that which was sanctified for Temple use and not One who acts in it work No. ??? in it and not they read the written Torah and that which was sanctified for Temple use One who acts in it work from where do we learn Scripture states: (Lev. 23) day ??? he In any case, Abayye said: There is no difficulty. this one Rabbi and this one is Rabbi Yehudah Rava said: this one Hey, isn't it the case that Rabbi give thanks Rabbi ??? For if it was No. you say thus he is spiritually cut off ??? to Rabbi he does not have Why is it that No. It concerns itself For example, ??? that is not he came the daytime ??? for him except I would say
דף יג,ב גמרא
he is spiritually cut off of the day to Rabbi he does not have Why is it that No. It concerns itself he was eating ??? So, too, he was eating close to the setting of the sun There was not ??? one Israel and one priests and one a priest ??? this one Back to the main body of the text: it is a problem The tanna teaches: one Israel and one priests and one a priest who has been anointed and then, separately, i.e., in addition to Moses pitching the tent, we had It was taught by Just as between Israel to the priests ??? who has been anointed Rav Yehudah said thus he comes to say i.e., what he really means is: one Israel and one priests and one a priest who has been anointed ??? in the remainder of transgressions And there is no meaning to the word dividing among the guests ??? for just as between Israel to the priests ??? who has been anointed except ??? atones on the priests. on ??? make kiddush. ??? and etc. with whom does it agree? it is Rabbi Yehudah as it is taught: (Lev. 16) ??? make kiddush. that which was sanctified for Temple use this before and inwards ??? festival this ??? An altar of ??? these ??? priests ??? with ??? these Israel ??? these ??? all of them ??? One ??? in the remainder of transgressions these are the words of R' Yehudah Rabbi Shimon says: in the same way ??? a male goat ??? inside atones on Israel on ??? make kiddush. ??? thus in the same way blood ??? atones on the priests. on ??? make kiddush. ??? and in the same way ??? of a male goat ??? atones on Israel in the remainder of transgressions thus in the same way ??? of A bull atones on the priests. in the remainder of transgressions and to Rebbi Shimon this one certainly ??? What then does it mean when it says ??? atonement ??? Each and every one atones ??? What is his reason of Rabbi Shimon As it is written (Lev. 16) ??? two ??? a male goat ??? inside Just as a male goat ??? inside he does not atones on the priests. on ??? make kiddush. ??? As it is written of him. who ??? Even a male goat ??? he does not atones on the priests. in the remainder of transgressions And Rabbi Yehudah He could say to you ??? and with its monetary value? he who has arrived Which Tanna taught: about this teaching For the Rabbis taught ??? a male goat ??? who ??? that do not the priests. ??? in it And regarding what ??? of ??? It is possible No. ??? of ??? for behold! Already it is said who to him From here, Watch out for leading vav And they do not have atonement For as it says: ??? on the priests. ??? to them atonement a bamah an elevated place for offerings. there are. ??? that is good for him ??? of ??? for behold! ??? next to his house and do not ??? inside that did not have ??? next to his house and if your soul to say Behold! he says (Ps. 135) the house of ??? "Bless" Hashem the house of ??? "Bless" Hashem -- those who fear Hashem "Bless" Hashem Which Tanna taught: he said R' ??? that is not like R' Yehudah For if it was R' Yehudah Watch out for leading vav !! For didn't priests say there is regarding them atonement ??? with whom does it agree? Rava said: R' Shimon She for he said: priests they do not have atonement ??? Abaye said Even if you say R' Yehudah thus he comes to say i.e., what he really means is: From here, they do not have atonement ??? make kiddush. ??? For as it says: ??? on the priests. ??? in which they have atonement in the remainder of transgressions and just as ??? in which they have atonement in the remainder of transgressions thus in the same way there is regarding them atonement
