This is an early draft. I haven't proofread; there are plenty of typos and probably some more significant errors as well.
Most pages on this site are currently auto-translated. The autotranslations are intended as a starting point for my manual translations. At best, they are awkward stringing-togethers of words and phrases in the corpus database that can benefit from cleaning up. At worst, they are picking the wrong homograph. Auto-translations are indicated by italics.
I am not a rabbi or an expert. These are my translations, and in some cases I am certainly misunderstanding things.
The Talmud is a document of its time. While the Talmud is a foundational document of Judaism, it must be read in its historical context. There are passages that are xenophobic, sexist, and irreconcilable with modern science. Not everything in these pages represents contemporary Judaism.

This translation is protected by copyright. I'm putting a lot of effort into this project. Please respect that by only copying with my permission.
I intend to provide free licenses for most uses. I plan to use a Creative Commons CC-NC-BY-SA license, which will allow you to re-use my translations as long as you don't charge money for them (NC), as long as you give me credit (BY), and as long as you make your derived work available under the same terms (SA). But I'm not ready to do that yet because this is still a very rough work-in-progress.
In the meantime, if you want to re-use this, please contact me. I am willing to discuss re-use on an ad hoc basis. Perhaps the one page you want to use is actually ready for re-use. Ask. I'll probably work out a way to say "yes."

I need to clean up this section. But for now, I'll note that I've made use of the Hebrew/Aramaic text of the Bavli at Mechon Mamre; Jastrow's dictionary; "The Practical Talmud Dictionary" by Yitzchak Frank. I've also used the big three translations of the Talmud --- Soncino (English), Artscroll (English), and Steinsaltz (Hebrew) --- and the Kehati (English) edition of the Mishna, to help me understand passages before translating them.

For it was taught: (Lev. 2) ??? on all ??? creates an exclusion ??? eight ??? You might say in response there it is written "and the remainder" he read ??? it is written The father of Shmuel raised an objection (and R' Avin) to Rav Huna. one A sin-offering of a bird: and one An elevation-offering of a bird: ??? and takes out their blood outside their designated places is invalid. And there is not the penalty of excision, outside its time an invalidating act nevertheless but we become liable to excision on its account. The tanna teaches: Regardless, ??? their blood he ??? to it This is only in the case ??? to it to the side is what the tanna teaches.

Back to the main body of the text: It was taught in the academy of Rabbi Yishmael, "that if there was blood left over" And, hey, It was taught in the academy of Rabbi Yishmael, there i.e., in another mishna ??? And Rav Pappa said The draining of the blood of A sin-offering of a bird: There is this difference between them: it is a case of two different Tanaaim according to Rabbi Yismael

דף ט,א משנה

An elevation-offering of a bird: We do apply the laws of misappropriation to it. from the time that it becomes holy. Once its neck has been wrung it becomes subject to the laws of disqualifiction in the case of a tevul yom one who has already immersed in a mikveh but remains tamei until nightfall or one who lacks atonement, or by sitting overnight, Once its blood has been drained. we are guilty on its account Due to pigul, notar, and tamei and they are subject to the laws of misappropriation until they are taken out to the ash-house Bulls that are burnt And goats that are burnt We apply the laws of misappropriation to them from the moment of their being declared holy. ??? The elevation-offering We do apply the laws of misappropriation to it. from the time that it becomes holy. ??? it becomes subject to the laws of disqualifiction in the case of a tevul yom one who has already immersed in a mikveh but remains tamei until nightfall or one who lacks atonement, or by sitting overnight, ??? of its blood we are guilty on its account Due to pigul, notar, and tamei And there is no meaning to the word they are subject to the laws of misappropriation ??? But: they are subject to the laws of misappropriation in the case of the flesh. until they are taken out to the ash-house A sin-offering and a guilt-offering and peace-offerings of ??? We apply the laws of misappropriation to them from the moment of their being declared holy. ??? Subject to disqualification, in the case of a tevul yom one who has already immersed in a mikveh but remains tamei until nightfall or one who lacks atonement, or by sitting overnight, ??? their blood we are guilty on its account For this reason: pigul, notar, and tamei they are not subject to the laws of misappropriation in the case of the flesh. it was said: who benefit i.e., who partake of ??? for upon regarding the altar. Rav said: the laws of misappropriation do not apply And Rabbi Yochanan said: the offering is subject to the laws of misappropriation until the service of the ashes. the whole world does not disagree that the laws of misappropriation apply. But specifically, where they disagree is this: After the service of the ashes. Rav said: the laws of misappropriation do not apply Behold! was it made? ??? And R' Yochanan said: immediately As it is written (Lev. 6) ??? etc. immediately ??? the priesthood ??? he arises We have learnt in a Mishna: We apply the laws of misappropriation to them until they are taken out to the ash-house It is a difficulty for Rav's position.
